Abstract

The Leskovac anthology  proceedings plays an important role among periodicals/annyals focused on boht local and the history of all southern Serbian regions as well. Due to the facts, the scientific areas impllicated by The Leskovac anthology are subsequently predominant comparing to the papers focused on Leskovac region itslef, including the works/scientific researches with thematic approaches both at the state level and related to the development of Serbian historiography. Precendently the sixtieth anniversary issue of of the Leskovac anthology, it can be stated, without restraint, a numerous published papers related to various sciences’topics were focused on researches about history of the society. The analysis for the first fifty issues determined the place of social history as the milestone topics of this annual, while the analysis for the last nine issues highlights a drastic increase in the number of papers exploring specified scientific field, including as much as two and a half times. Most of the papers covers culture and science (education, press), economics, economy and church history, but an enviable number of works/papers evaluate development of historiography as well. Comparing the Leskovac anthology with a journals of similar structure, The Anthology of the National Museum in Leskovac keeps pace with the scientific publications of focused on the similiar, multidisciplinary publishing approach.
