Abstract
The paper deals with the atrocities committed by the members of the Bulgarian units in the Niš County during the occupation (1941 - 1944). These crime have also been notified by the government of Milan Nedić. Initially, a brief overview of the Bulgarian occupation and of the administrative authorities and armed forces of the Nedićʼs government is given. Then, two events were analyzed: incidents around Ljuberadja in the beginning of 1942 and Bulgarian action in eastern Serbia in June 1942. Finally, in separate chapters, we presented an brief overview of the most characteristic crimes against civilians and the incidents between the Bulgarian units and the units of the Nedićʼs government. The text is based on unpublished archival materials, published sources and relevant literature.
