TERROR OF YOUGOSLAV INTEGRALIST FORCES AS A FACTOR OF DESTABILIZATION AND DECOMPOSITION OF THE FIRST YUGOSLAV STATE

Abstract

The paper provides an insight into the role of the theory of integral yugoslavism and politically motivated terror in the process of internal destabilization and disintegration of the first Yugoslav state through the study of the ideological foundations and political practice of the Organization of Yugoslav Nationalists (ORJUNA), the Yugoslav National Party (JNS), the Yugoslav People’s Party (so-called Borbashi) and the Yugoslav National Movement Zbor. Special attention is paid to ORJUNA’s work as the originator of the practice of political terror in the Yugoslav state. Violent clashes between activists of Yugoslav integration organizations, their political opponents and members of the security forces were an attack on the constitutional order of the Yugoslav state, endangered the reputation and work of its institutions (both at home and abroad) and represented a unique attempt to usurp state monopoly on force and create parallel structures of repression
