Abstract
The exhibition “Balkan archaeology in focus” is an author’s exhibition of the Austrian Institute of archaeology in Vienna and the Austrian Cultural Forum which was presented across the museums in Serbia during the endo of the 2022. and the beginning of the 2023. year. While exhibition visited the National museum of Leskovac in the April of 2023., it became more complex, because of the addition of more than 60 exhibits from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, found at the archaeological site of Svinjarička Čuka. The exhibits were introduced to the general public for the first time ever. The author of the particular segment of the exhibition, high currator Vladimir Stevanović from the National Museum of Leskovac has organized the exhibited objects into four showcases, inside of which different specific groups were formed, consisting of human and animal figurines, stamps, bone objects, pottery, cult tables and different stone objects. The exhibited items had presented to the visitors the aspects of the everyday life of the habitants of the Neolithic settlement of Svinjarička Čuka, their perception of the artistic, decoration of the different items, wearing of the jewlery, as well as the apstract perception of the cult.
