Abstract
This work deals with the history of the idea of Serbian state and national unification which was, in the area of the then Montenegro, in the long time interval, articulated and represented by the significant personalities, writers and clergy. The intention is to point out the fact that even under centuries of Turkish occupation, the ideas about national liberation and unification of the Serbian people and the renewal state, were alive. That integralist consciousness, that was the awareness of Serbian unity, was present in Montenegro even after the liberation from the Turks. Until today, the Serbian people in Montenegro have shown determination, in various occasions and circumstances, to preserve its national, linguistic and religious identity and expressed aspiration for Serbian integrations.
