SETTLEMENTS OF NAHIYA OF DABAR IN THE XV-XVI CENTURY

Abstract

Historical science has long established that in medieval times Hum land was composed of number of administratively territorial units of the župa. One of them was the župa of Dabar which existed until the Ottoman occupation at 60s of XV century. In the Ottoman Empire Dabar also represented a separate administrative unit-nahiya of Dabar which belongs to the Nevesinje caste. Based on the Turkish cadastral censuses, Archives of Dubrovnik, research field and literature, the settlements of the nahiya Dabar settlement in the XV-XVI centuries and their locations are the subjects of this article.
