SERBIAN UNIFICATION: IDEAS, PLANS AND REALIZATION (19TH–21ST CENTURIES)

Abstract

The paper deals with an overview of the ideas and plans of Serbian unification from the 19th century to the 21st century, as well as the realization of those ideas and plans from the liberation wars of Serbia and Montenegro in the 19th attempt to preserve the common state in the last decade of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century. When it comes to the current situation, the paper gives recommendations and guidelines for the creation of a new united state of the Serbs, which would consist of the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro, while the Republic of North Macedonia could be in an asymmetrical relationship with the united Serbian state.
