Abstract

After a long preparation and exactly ten years since the beginning of the publication, the work of publishing the secret diary of Dragan Krstić, a professor at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, has recently been completed. In six volumes entitled Psychological Notes, Krstić produced extremely valuable material ranging from testimonies about people, time and processes, to brilliant scientific analyses in the fields of psychology, history, geopolitics and other social processes. In the article, which is the first scientific reception of this manuscript, the author presents the entire project, provides an overview of the main topics the writer dealt with, illustrates individual segments such as the analysis of funerals in the era of late communism, but above all presents Krstić as an extraordinary psychologist who records the forms of psychopathology of Yugoslav communism and the ways in which it disintegrated, which is a very significant universal contribution to theories of totalitarianism. The focus is also on the analysis of the Serbian question under communist occupation and the legacy of this occupation, not yet finished.
