Abstract
The paper shows that there should be no options regarding the use of the alphabet in the Serbian language and shows why the Latin alphabet should be excluded from use in contemporary Serbian literary creativity. The paper specifically points out that the Latin script entered the Serbian language through the Serbophobic ideology of the Croatian right-wingers, whose goal was to Latinize both the alphabet and the religion of the Serbian people in order to convert Serbs into Croats. A comparison is also made with the cases of Romania, Ireland and Israel regarding the use of the language and alphabet.
