ANTIQUE AND MEDIAEVAL TOPICS IN LESKOVAČKI ZBORNIK (THE ANNUAL OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM LESKOVAC)

Abstract

An overview is presented of the articles devoted to antique and mediaeval topics which have been published in the past fifty-nine volumes of the Leskovački Zbornik. A total of 71 works are analysed. The classical/Late Roman, Early Byzantine and mediaeval heritage has been evenly presented, while as many as twenty-two papers have resulted from the excavations at Caričin Grad (Justiniana Prima). We have surveyed a collection of various articles, different in quality; however, one may conclude that Roman, Early Byzantine and Mediaeval archaeology has been well presented in this journal, as well as the contributions from related fields. We also present the bibliography of articles from the Leskovački Zbornik discussed in our analysis.
