The south of Serbia has a rich cultural and historical heritage that has been zealously preserved by the National Museum in Leskovac for more than 70 years. From its founding in 1948 until today, it is the most important institution - the guardian of the history, culture and traditions of this region. During the seven decades of its existence, the Museum has gained a great reputation and become famous outside the country. The jubilee, which was solemnly celebrated in 2018 and which was immortalized with a luxurious publication, represents not only a significant anniversary for the Museum, but also for the entire South.
