Abstract

In all papers published in the Leskovac collection, Academician Vladimir Stojančević always put the Serbian people and the Serbian space in the spotlight. This is well seen in other scientific articles and books published by him. Scientific papers published in the Leskovac collection show very well the position rather in the Ottoman Empire and very graphically depicts the participation of the Serbian people against the Turkish administration in rebellions and insurrections. It shows the socio-political position of the Serbian people from this area under Turkish administration. In some papers, he mentioned the contribution of the people of Leskovac who dealt with the history of the Serbian people in the 19th century. From his discussions, articles and books one can really have a comprehensive overview of the history of the Serbian people in the Leskovac region in the 19th century.
